This medieval eating knife is based on a River Thames find but is typical for a lot of European countries too. Medieval eating knives were often paired with a pricker to make an ‘eating set’.
The medieval eating knife has wooden grip scales and is finished with a brass bolster and pommel. The blade itself has an asymmetric sharpened false edge which was a common feature for this period.
The medieval eating set comes in a double layer veg tan leather sheath with individual pockets for knife and pricker.
Limited edition pink sheath available occasionally.ย
Blade length 12cm/4.5″
Grip length 9.5cm/3.75″
Overall length 21cm/8.5″
Please note: The colours may vary in tone from the photos here. ย Each skin of leather is different and reacts differently to the dye so they may be darker or lighter in tone
