This 15thC medieval rondel dagger is a classic Knights and professional soldiers side weapon used in the 100 years war between France and England by both sides. It has a stout, long and strong single edged blade that was ย typical of rondel daggers like this and features some decorative file work to the spine. The rondel discs are hollow ย and brazed to reduce weight and ash wood grip is fluted. The top rondel is fitted with a decorated brass peen button.
The double layer vegtan leather sheath is suspended from a cord. The scabbard ย is decorated front and rear with simple incised decoration and finished with a decorated brass chape.

Edge sharpness
Semi-Sharpย is ‘butter knife sharp’; it has a very fine flat on the edge
Sharp has been ground to give a reasonable cutting edge, but final honing, if required, is by the customer.
